Adrian Mole

I think that Adrian Mole is a very comical character as he loves to do crazy things and many weird things happen in his life. For an example, he has a crush on Pandora, who's name tells us that she will bring chaos to Adrian's life. She was a woman sent to Earth with a box of evils that she was told not to open. But she did and brought chaos to the world. This shows her future relationship with Adrian will be rocky if they proceed, and Adrian's life will be ruined. I think Adrian has made a mistake in liking her in the first place. The author, Sue Townsend, is a female and writes about this character Adrian Mole and his life which includes encounters that probably will be hard to happen in reality. His diary shows his obstacles with puberty, love, and his own future life planning as well as other life topics. He has spots, which is pimples in other words, on his face. In the diary shows that he is exaggerating about his 'spots' which are not actually very visible, for in many cases when he confronted someone about it, they would say they don't see it or it is small. About his crush on Pandora, i think it is more of a love case. He can be satisfied or very happy even if Pandora only smiled to him or talked to him.He should not be this way, for if Pandora breaks up with him in the future or doesn't want to be friends with him anymore, he will be very heartbroken. In his diary entries also tells us he is facing a very big family issue- his parents are getting a divorce, and he probably needs to choose between his father and his mother. A child facing such a big choice will be dumbfounded and no doubt very stressed. This will also affect his daily life, his mood to actually chase his dreams of being a poet and other major issues of his life. I think that Adrian Mole is a boy with a hilarious life full of joy, sorrows and many ups and downs

I think that Anne Frank is a honest girl and one who is very playful and loves to have fun. During the German occupation, she did not have any friends in Amsterdam as most of them do not trust her as she is a Jew. THose are not real friends as they are only with her to have a good time. When they had to hide in the Secret Annexe, she would probably feel bored for she is seldom cooped up in a small constricted space. Thus she has her diary, Kitty, to write about her daily encounters in the small attic. In there all the small trivial matters are taken out as her daily events. I think she loves to exaggerate about her encounters, like saying she has a throng of admirers in school. She might only have one and might be confiding in her diary and writing about her fantasies. In my opinion, she is a braggart, having bragging about what is not true. She also describes herself as the Annexe's 'little bundle of nerves' as perhaps she is the one who jokes the most, or the loudest and most active. She is also quite emotional at times, for she cried for being separated with her headmistress. She might have close ties and it shows that these close ties are very little. She might have little of such ties, for her friends are not exactly true friends. She must value close ties a lot. I also think she is very close to her family members, especially her dad. In her diary entries it shows she loves her father a lot, and that her father is gentle and understanding, as well as the best father she ever had.
